Hi, my name is Mike Hoots and it is my honor to be the High School Bible
teacher for Redland Christian Academy in Homestead, Florida.
This year, as I have done the past 5 years teaching at RCA, I will
be focusing on the most important thing for your child - helping them build
a close relationship with God. In the classroom, your child will be
learning what it is to put trust and faith in God, as well as how to live
as positive examples in our world today as Christ has called us to do. 1
Timothy 4:12 says “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are
young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love,
in faith and in purity.”
But our classes and don’t end there. About 5 years ago, we started a youth
and college ministry at the Homestead Church of Christ with a handful of
members that has grown now to a group of over 80 members. J4L(Jesus
for Life) is for youth, run by youth, with adult supervision, meaning it’s
run by our college and young adults to ensure fun, safe and exciting
activities. At J4L, we have weekly meetings at the Homestead Church of
Christ Wednesday nights at 7pm for middle and high school students, and
many different activities during the month. Some include fellowship
nights, learning more about Christian morals, lock-ins, park days, open mic nights, camping trips, trips to Orlando for Christian concerts, visits
to nursing homes and so much more.
I am also a full time missionary and willing to study the Bible, help
with marriage counseling, or just pray for you. If there is anything J4L
