My name is Mr. Richard Mancinelli. I will
be the High School Social Studies teacher for school year 2009-2010. I
have been teaching at Redland Christian Academy since August 2004. I am a
graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I am a
state certified teacher for my subject areas. The courses for the high
school will be:
The 10th grade will cover American History
in three parts. First, events leading up to the discovery of America, Pre
and Post Revolutionary America, the War of 1812, the age of Jackson with
the development of a new nation. The second part will deal the Manifest
Destiny, Mexican War, rise of the South, the Civil War and Reconstruction.
The third part deals with the Spanish American War, the United States as a
world power, World War One and Two, Korean and Vietnam Wars. There is one
textbook and an activity book required for this course. The 11th grade will study the following aspects of World Geography: Physical, human, economic, social, cultural, and political aspects of the countries we will study. There is one textbook required for this course.
