My name is Daniel Carrillo and this will be my 9th year teaching at R.C.A. I was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts but my heritage is Puerto Rican. I joined the U.S. Army straight out of high school and proudly served our country for four years. A few years later I completed a Bachelor’s Degree and began teaching at Redland Christian Academy. Middle School Social Studies will be learning about European countries and their cultures. We will also study Ancient Civilizations in the Persian Gulf Region such as Iraq and other Asian cultures such as China and Japan. In 7th grade we will be studying The American Republic and we will take an extensive look at America’s Civil War. In science we will study the Earth and its components. We will look at the Earth’s mountains, volcanoes, oceans and canyons. We will also study Life Science such as the life of plants, insects, animals and humans. There will be various projects that will be introduced in accordance with the subject matter. I am expecting to have about 2 or 3 field trips in the year in conjunction with other teachers to maximize our students learning experience here at Redland Christian Academy. I am looking forward to a great year and I hope and pray that we can make the most of every student’s development physically, spiritually and academically.
